Christine Cadigan
American Forest Foundation
Christine Cadigan is currently Executive Vice President, Carbon Origination at the American Forest Foundation. In the context of AFF’s Family Forest Carbon Program (FFCP), Christine leads a team responsible for enrolling landowners in climate-smart forestry practices and generating high-quality carbon credits from these enrolled properties. As of early 2025, there were more than more than 900 landowners and 135,000 acres enrolled in the Family Forest Carbon Program. Christine has been at the American Forest Foundation for nearly 15 years and graduated from Duke University with dual Masters degrees in Environmental Management and Forestry.
As a family landowner herself, Christine recognizes the unique opportunity for US family-owned forests to contribute meaningful conservation outcomes, while still realizing individual landowner objectives. Climate change is our generation’s most pressing environmental crisis; yet fortuitously, U.S. forests have the potential to provide globally significant mitigation opportunities toward 1.5 degree warming pathway.
